Why We Take Tank Dips
Transferring liquid between tanks
Calculating the volume from the dip will help you to know whether the stock from that tank will fit into another tank on transfer

Lid Types
There are three types of lids. Make sure you know where to measure from for each type.
Extra info
If there is foam at the top of the tank, make sure the plate is floating on the top of the liquid not the foam.
Washing the tape and plate before returning them avoids cross contamination of liquids.
